From the Webmaster

Next April will mark the five year anniversary of my having the privilege of maintaining St. Mark's website; www.stmarksantioch.org
It has provided a wonderful way for me to use what I learn in my studies of programming and web development. The site has grown to over 10 times the size it was when I first started taking care of it in 2001 - so much that last fall we had to upgrade to a larger hosting package to accommodate the growth.

Microsoft now has a new program "Visual Web Developer 2005" which I am learning to use that will replace the current program "FrontPage 2002". Over the next couple of months I plan on doing a  "remodeling" of the web site that will be more up to date and make it more streamlined and easier to navigate.
I've received numerous compliments over the years and have also been told that some persons were led to our wonderful little church by first viewing the web site. It is a great way for us to reach out and stay connected!

So, I'd appreciate any suggestions or comments you may have about what you would like to see on the web site - or if there are things on there now that you like and don't want to see changed - let me know that as well! I will take everything in consideration and if I am able will incorporate all that I can. Please email me at admcolvin@aol.com with those suggestions.

Thanks again for allowing me to serve as your Webmaster these past five years!
Peace! Dave Colvin

A Mystery in the Pet Cemetery

Recently I went looking for my cat’s grave marker up at the tree line where I buried her in 1999.  I was dismayed that I could not find the marker where I expected it to be and there was a pile of rocks and dirt on the spot where I was sure I had placed her. I looked up and down the tree line to no avail.  Her concrete marker was octagonal with a little tile cat and blue marbles embedded in it and I had carved her name – RAGS – into the slab.   If anyone knows what happened to it or has any information, please contact Shelley Davis-Wise at 391-3965.  Thank you!

Church Directory Update

It is time to update St. Mark’s directory.  Please review the information listed in the current directory for accuracy:  spelling of names, addresses, email addresses, and telephone numbers.  Please make sure that your children’s names are listed.

Please submit corrections and new information in writing to Pat Worsley, 3348 Country Way Road, Antioch, TN  37013, or email Pat at lhworsley@comcast.net.  Your assistance in keeping this information accurate is much appreciated.
